Las Aventuras de Pony Pablo

I had the joy of illustrating this book, and it was a truly special experience. I love creating illustrations of animals and connecting with stories that touch the heart. The plot is engaging, and illustrating the three main characters was an absolute pleasure. Each of them has their own unique essence and challenges, which made the creative process even more meaningful.

The story follows Pablo, a little race pony who, due to a congenital defect in his hind legs, couldn’t run like the others. His trainer, realizing that Pablo wouldn’t be useful to him, decided to get rid of the pony.

Thankfully, a stable worker, moved by Pablo’s situation, took him home. There, Pablo found a new family and met Valentín, a donkey who didn’t know how to gallop. They formed a beautiful friendship, and Pablo devoted himself to teaching Valentín how to gallop in exchange for his companionship.

One day, while they were practicing, a racehorse approached them. After hearing Pablo’s story, the horse made a special proposal: since Pablo was born to be a race pony, why not have a race?

This project was especially touching for me, as I had the chance to bring to life a story full of resilience, friendship, and kindness. It’s one of those books that leaves you with a positive message and inspires us to believe in everyone’s potential, no matter the challenges they face.
